Role Summary:

The CSA shop cost leader is responsible for minimizing cost per shop visit and reducing cost actualization pressure across the CSA portfolio within a shop. This role will partner across operational, engineering, and commercial functions to drive cost reduction strategies and metrics.

Essential Responsibilities:

All activities related to the supervision, organization and execution of a service project, including

scope, time, contract (if not covered by a dedicated Contract Manager) cost & quality

management. Responsibility for project methodologies and standards including scheduling and

control, to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and

ensuring customer satisfaction. Participates in discussions about the future of the business

requiring frequent and thorough interaction with other functions. Develops the year plan for of the

larger unit. Presents product/program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations

to senior leads (EB and SEB) across GE. Important business unit clients. Complex processes

requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the client side and internally.

In addition the Staff Manager:

  • Drives strategy across shop MCRB, platform MCRB, CSA BB, CTP, Powerplant Engineering,LCE & repair engineering

  • Sits on plant leader staff & reports into Cost Y

  • Owns $ / SV for site

  • Structures KPI’s and targets at shop

  • Leads pipeline generation and variance to targets

  • Ensures adequate resourcing to achieve targets

  • Coordinates with Lean Leader to report savings

  • KPI measurement & reporting

  • WIP cost escalation and action … standardization

  • Manage pre-induction workscope triage

  • Implementing picking rules measurement

  • Cost trending, leading indicator identification and follow up Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Services - Project Management. Desired Characteristics: Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Demonstrated ability to lead programs /projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
