Data Center Networkign BU (DCNBU) is developing the Nexus 9000 and Nexus 3000 line of data center and cloud switches that feature application awareness to make the network infrastructure flexible and agile for dynamic response to application needs and virtual machine workload mobility. DCNBU also developed a 100G and 400G Ethernet transceiver designed to drastically lower the price of optics.
What You'll Do
As optical application engineer at DCNBU at CRDC (Shanghai), you will be responsible to evaluate, validate and trouble-shoot optics and cables on DCNBU products. You will be the leading optical application eniginner to work closely with design engineers and the Marketing team to provide optical support solutions for Cisco custoemrs.

You will work on a state of the art data center switching/routing product. Do you thrive in dynamic start-up like environment? Then we are looking for you. Come, be a part of a fast-paced team responsible for delivering data center optical solutions for large complex systems requirements.
You will be responsible for optical transceivers testing and failure analysis.
3+ years of experience in optical transceiver companies with BSEE or Master in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics or a related discipline.
Proven hands-on working experience on optical transceiver testing, high speed electrical interface testing and trouble-shooting.
Proven hands-on lab working experience on high speed optical transceivers such as 25G/50G SFP28, 100G QSFP28, 400G DD-QSFP from optical component level to module level.
· Experience on validation plans, test stations and perform system level optics.
· Familiar with optical specifications and requirements on industry standards such as IEEE, OIF, MSA.
- Knowledge on Cisco NXOS system is plus.
