Job Description

Mission/Purpose of Position (Sales Manager Focus):

­ Develop Sales & EBIT growth and maintain current business with customers in a profitable way

­ Responsible for OES pricing for new transferred spare part products and consequent yearly pricing for existing product lines to warrant highest possible sales and margin

­ Leading acquisitions, negotiations regarding price conditions and other contractual terms and strategies (i.e. supply strategy, All­Time­Buy, Cancellations, Frame­Contracts) for current and future business

­ Collecting and preparing arguments and information for price validation & negotiation towards the customer by cost analyzing from Controlling

­ Customer relationship mgmt & communication, including participation at trade fairs and (customer) events

­ Strategic alignment of production forecasts with the customer (mid­/ long­term and life­time forecasts), together with locations

­ Support overdue collection towards customers

­ Review and support location Phase­Out Meetings as sales representative

­ Interfacing with Conti Key Account Organization in APAC and Serial BUs (multi­layer and comprehensive)

­ Creation of customer profiles and supporting budget planning process

­ Responsibility according to pre­defined OEM customers, locations and/or products

­ Usage of company internal tools, i.e. customer price variation planning, prognosis creation, sales database maintenance

Mission/Purpose of Position (Reman/ Serial Service Parts/ Niche Markets Focus):

­ Responsible to lead and implement Remanufacturing with customers in the automotive industry,

­ Responsible to lead cross­selling activities (products from the Continental Group) to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), suppliers and independent companies in the automotive sector

­ Analysis of After­Sales concepts: Genuine Parts; 2nd Line; All Makes

­ Sales of OES products to other Continental segments

­ New customer acquisition and development of business relationships with target customers in Asia/Pacific

­ Lead and manage international and interdisciplinary projects and teams

­ Representation of a central interface between involved functional areas such as sales, project management, R&D, operations and production

­ Leading and controlling projects, taking into account quality, time frame, cost and customer management as well as technical conditions

JD Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree or above, preferred studies are engineering, business­engr., industrial engr. or similar

  2. Minimum 5 years experience & minimum 3 years sales experience in automotive industry

  3. Focus on entrepreneurial thinking and acting

  4. Strength in product vs. customer analysis and strategic conclusions, i.e. regarding costing

  5. Customer orientation & excellent communication abilities, i.e. outstanding presentation­ and negotiation skills

  6. Dedication to bring customer expectations into the organization

  7. Ability to independently represent the company in front of the customer

  8. Knowledge of Continental products is a plus

  9. Working experience with a foreign company is desirable

  10. Fluent English language skills & native Chinese speaker
