Windows 10 has been an enormous success since its launch in 2015, it’s now actively running on hundreds of millions of devices every month. The Windows Engagement (WE) organization under WDG is a new team formed from the merging of the Saga, Shell, and ICE studios with the goal of creating unique experiences for the users that interact with our products every day. By combining forces, our teams are given the space for collaboration and encouraged to work across platforms to continually push the boundaries of what is possible and provide experiences unlike any other. We are making the impossible, possible through creative thinking and relational development. Asia Experiences team is part of Shell under Windows Engagement organization in WDG. AE team owns a few areas under WE-Shell: - Text input(keyboard, soft input panel, handwriting, shape-writing, voice input and all different modalities) experiences for all markets - Shell(aka Launcher) experiences on Android as part of the MMX(Microsoft Mobility Experiences) initiative - Cross device SDK on Android and iOS that bridges PC and Phone for continuity - Browser experiences on Android and iOS - Windows 10 user engagement and supporting of Windows 10 business in Asia markets, especially in China and Japan market

Roles & Responsibilities: We are looking for a strong engineer to play a key role in building Microsoft’s browser on Android and iOS. There will be both platform specific development but there will also be a focus on cross platform engineering to gain efficiencies where it makes sense. The use of Open Source is not only accepted but encouraged in the design, whatever makes the best sense for the product. The role would require strong design and implementation skills with a key focus on quality, performance and reliability. Feature quality over quantity! The engineer would work with other teams in China as well as with partner teams in development offices across the world. The position’s location can be in Suzhou or Beijing.
