Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Work with a motivated group of project members, to manage the time, resources, and budgets necessary to execute all of the decision making process for the division
Receive, prioritize, and manage project change requests that are received from all the SC functional owners. Develop a central repository for these requests.
Become the single point of contact for all incoming project requests throughout the year within the supply chain organization for expansion opportunities.
Oversight business supply chain architecture across each projects and existing systems
Provide solutions to complex business problems
Guide and provide feedback to the team on process and supply chain design, ensure each project adopts supply chain best practices, Corning project management template and follow roadmap and business architecture
Eliminate surprises by identifying potential problems early in the project lifecycle. Provide visibility to take corrective actions before they impact financial and/or schedule restrictions.
Ensure that the supply chain development group continues to increase productivity, supply chain costs - adding value, strengthening performance, and improving results.
Research and provide recommendations on current/future supply chain system roadmap that will yield a more effective performance for operational team
Education & Experience
Bachelor degree and above. MBA is an asset
Major in supply chain, industrial engineering, expansion, capital related knowledge, engineering are preferred
10+ years in supply chain, expansion project manager roles
Supply Chain, engineering, industrial engineering or related degree. Strong business application design/implementation experiences
Capital Projects, greenfield site locations, construction, facility’s, equipment
Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and communication skills (written and oral)
Strong organizational planning, and understanding of portfolio management concepts
Strong analytical capabilities
Experience working across cultures
Strategic mindset, considers long term advantage and sustainable decisions
PMP desired, but optional
Financial analysis experiences is a plus
Goal oriented self-starter
