Description

Technology Leadership :

  • With limited direction, maintain, continually build, and systematically share knowledge of related products in alignment with business needs and technology developments using common tools

  • Closely align with Operations and closely support cost reduction initiatives, management of change, troubleshooting and piloting

  • With minimal oversight, maintain and systematically share competitive intelligence; manage intellectual property according to requirements

  • Support the development and execution of the Business Unit technology strategy; improve business unit effectiveness through collaboration, knowledge capture and sharing across the Business Unit and other Cargill Technology groups

  • Any other duties as assigned

Customer partnership: :

  • Create and deliver solutions for customers through customer-focused innovation projects

  • Support product line efforts to create a pipeline of new ideas, in line with the opportunity spaces identified for the product lines

  • Support the Technical Services and Applications teams in solving customers’ problems and educating them about our products

Business Partnership:

  • Support related product line management initiatives/strategies to improve reliability and cost performance through high performance innovation

  • With minimal oversight, research related product technology know-how and develop product and improve production process for business growth

  • Actively support the top-line growth for the product lines by initiating and supporting customer-driven innovation

  • Facilitate project portfolio management according to business unit requirements and best practices

  • Manage the infrastructure and budget

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or above in Food Science, Chemistry or related majors

  • Thorough knowledge of starch, hydrocolloid or protein chemistry, preferably the creation of these ingredients for food application

  • Above 5 years’ experience in food ingredients product development

  • Good trouble shooting and critical thinking, with good business acumen and industry knowledge;

  • Can be able to work independently on multiple projects and drive business results;

  • Ability to identify and translate industry/market trends into new opportunities and solutions for existing and new customers/markets

  • Solid understanding of HACCP, Food Safety and QA principles and procedures. Ability to devise preventive and corrective actions in matters of EHS. Ability to perform an internal audit concerning EHS matters to make recommendations for improvement;

  • Good reporting and presentation skills;

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Fluent in Mandarin and English(written and verbal)
