Dow Chemical Logistics Coordinator in Shanghai, China

Summary :

The Site logistic customs coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day import and export custom clearance activities to meet business needs in site. This position needs extensive external interfacing with China Custom Houses, China Inspection Quarantine (CIQ), 3PL. The responsibilities also include operational workflow/processes/procedure set-up and follow-up as well as tracking its adherence to compliance requirement.

Responsibility:

  • Track import & export shipment status and manage the customs clearance for SJ manufacturing site.

  • Liaise with 3PL and internal users to keep the import & export operations smoothly.

  • Arrange DSV to handle EXW external purchase PO.

  • Deal with the day-to-day issues happened during import & export operations.

  • Monthly KPI report & export refund report collection, coordination and analysis.

  • 3PL invoice validation and payment settlement.

  • Import and export License management

o export dual use control and application.

o FTA - Preferential certificate on-site application; communicate with customer if have any certificate issues.

o Automatic import license application.

  • Collect and maintain customs declaration elements

  • Customs annual report preparation. Support audit by both internal (internal auditor) and external parties(Customs/CIQ)

  • Prepare declaration docs & certification, follow up and filing

  • Import ISO tank shipment: Prepare declaration docs, follow up and filing

  • Handle import equipment parts by courier (UPS/Fedex/DHL), Prepare declaration docs, follow up and filing

  • Maintain good relationship with the Authorities (Customs,CIQ,etc.)

  • Backup for logistic activity coordinator and logistic activity scheduler in the site logistic organization

Qualification:

  • Association/College above, major in logistics, import/export related preferred

  • Strong logistics background preferred

  • Able to digest complex issues into easily executable steps

  • Workflow/processes/procedure oriented

  • Compliance acumen with multinational company experience

  • Open minded, proactive and responsible

  • Good communication skills

  • Good oral and written English
