Ideal candidate will have overall system engineering and project management skills, medical device product development experience, and a thorough understanding of local regulatory agency requirements.

Candidate will have the ability to work cross-functionally to:

  • Partner with local functions to establish local quality system processes and controls; fully utilize the system for product development process

  • Establish network with local biomedical community

  • Establish Contract Manufacturing relationships to produce medical devices locally

  • Partner with local functions to establish processes and controls to allow local and regional distribution

  • Lead core team to gain agency approvals (e.g. CFDA) to market products within China and export products to markets within other Asia/Pacific markets

  • Lead core team to create local quality system documentation

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible to:

  • Initiate and plan the scope, schedule, resources and costs of assigned projects

  • Ensure project teams are effective and successful in the execution of project plans

  • Identify and articulate the risks and counter measures associated with the project plan

  • Apply and demonstrate strong leader skills that result in a collaborative culture using clear, credible, objective and proactive communications and stakeholder management throughout the product development life cycle

  • Ensure design and compliance requirements are met

  • Produce, distribute and present timely periodic reports of project status and other reports as requested



  2. M.S. in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, software engineering or similar related field

  3. 6+ years of experience as a Program Manager in the Medical Technology; health care or other technical disciplines


  5. Experience in development of medical products

  6. Experience obtaining Voice of the Customer input and formal requirements definition

  7. Demonstrated strong technical leadership

  8. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; Individual must communicate well with all levels of management and employees as well as customers and external collaborators

  9. Execution oriented, driven and self-motivated

  10. Speak and write Mandarin and English fluently

  11. Able to travel domestically and internationally DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  12. Certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP)

  13. Systems Engineering experience for electromechanical devices, capital equipment, consumerables

  14. Clinical and/or RD experience in the area of Nephrology and/or cardiovascular

  15. Experience with blood contacting devices

  16. Full product life-cycle experience (definition-development-released)

  17. A PhD or MD with 3+ years of experience in Industry or MS with 6+ years of experience in the health care industry sector
