Role Summary:

Opening for Plant Manager based in Baker Hughes Artificial Lift manufacturing plant at Dongguan, China. The position will support the Artificial Lift division. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and supports an organization capable of producing results consistent with performance criteria and plans at company level.

  • Responsibilities include production, maintenance, quality shipping/receiving and other related operations.

  • Leads the workforce in continuous improvement activities, both systems and processes, and benchmarks appropriate standards of conduct throughout the operation.

  • Keeps employees informed of key issues, supports quality, consistency and integrity in all transactions.

  • Responsible for plant with production value around USD 20 million per year.

  • Responsible for 100+ employees.

  • Handles special projects, as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong management and leadership skills

  • Manage transformation & change and effectively communicate to inform and gain support of appropriate stakeholders

  • Understand local cultural, political, and socioeconomic environment and how it impacts the organization

  • Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing principles, concepts, theories and practices of area of responsibility.

  • Accurately foresee costs, summarize and use financial performance data to provide useable feedback and clearly communicate results

  • Integrate and balance big-picture concerns with day-to-day activities, probe and look past symptoms to determine the underlying cause of problems and issues

  • Skills in leading, mentoring, coaching and developing others.

  • Knowledge of quality standards required within a manufacturing environment.

  • Knowledge of SAP in relation to the manufacturing processes (optional)

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.

  • 10+ years' experience in manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years management experience.

  • Experience of driving an interdependent safety culture.
