Hill International is seeking to employ a Head of Contracts, with extensive construction experience, for one of its on-going projects in China.
Administering construction contracts in several theme park lands.
Overseeing Contracts Manager direct reports
Develop and/or update the contracts management and claims avoidance SOP’s as required
Approving draft of commercial terms for design, engineering, procurement and/or construction contracts
Ensuring that the requirements of the contract documents are implemented and maintained throughout the Contract period
Reviewing contractual notices of construction and EOT related claims and providing appropriate response/recommendations.
Interacting directly with all project stakeholders in respect of contractual matters
Ensuring all warranties, bonds, insurances, guarantees, etc. are in place and maintained and renewed in accordance with contractual, legal and statutory provisions
Initiating, negotiating, settling and/or approving final accounts, contract addenda, application of liquidated damages, release of retentions/bonds, contract terminations, etc.
Previous experience of working on large Theme Park Projects, particularly involving major show and ride, FF&E, OS&E, F&B franchises and merchandizing manufacturing contracts
Minimum tertiary education in Law, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or related fields.
Minimum 25 years’ experience
Must have experience working on construction projects valued in excess of US$ 800 Million.
Experience in preparing, defending and negotiating construction related disputes
Must be fluent in English; proficiency in reading, writing and conversing in Mandarin is preferred
